Student Employment Experience is a year-round program designed to connect students to career-quality part-time and full-time employment. SEE strives to:

  • Improve youth’s views of quality work available in Saskatchewan
  • Improve students’ ability to pay for continued education 
  • Provide students with practical work experience consistent with their field of study, interest, or career ambition 
  • Link graduates and future graduates to potential long-term employers in Saskatchewan
  • Create employment opportunities that strengthen organizational capacity and support succession planning

Student Employment Experience information for Employers

Eligible Employers for the SEE program are:

  1. Post Secondary Training Institutions
  2. Community-Based Organizations
    (health regions may apply under this component)
  3. Rural Municipalities in Saskatchewan
  4. Saskatchewan Environmental Industry and Managers Association (SEIMA)
  5. Cultural Career Development
  6. Enhanced Access for Students with Disabilities
  7. Aboriginal Students

Private employers wishing to hire a student with a disability can apply through the Enhanced Access for Students with Disabilities component of the program. For-profit employers are not eligible through other SEE components, but may wish to contact the Federal program, Career Placements at 1-800-935-5555.

Agencies funded under SEE will have their job posted at www.saskjobs.ca. Employers can use saskjobs.ca to advertise their available positions.

SEE was developed to help students build careers within their chosen field of study or interest. Employers are encouraged to create an environment and/or position that will offer a relevant work experience to the students.

Application deadlines vary. Contact the program administrators 1 through 6 above for appropriate deadlines.
