This area of the SEE program is coordinated by the Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Labour. General inquiries can be directed to (306) 787-8434.

Eligible Activities:

  • Jobs must be career related, e.g. information technology, administration, communications, research and development, education program development
  • Jobs are to represent new job activity at each institution.
  • Total jobs in each institution should support the development of a representative workforce.
  • Hiring practices must respect collective bargaining agreements.
  • Student hiring must conform with institution's human resources planning practice and principles of fairness and transparency.
  • Participating students will be expected to undertake a self-assessment of the employment experience.

Eligible Costs:
Eligible Costs may be claimed for the period April 2008 to March 2009. Jobs created must have a duration of at least four weeks.

Eligible Students:
Students must be 15 years and older and either in school or returning to school upon completion of their employment or have graduated within the last six months.

Eligible Institutions:
Developing summer job opportunities and soliciting student applications is the responsibility of the eligible institutions.  Below is the list of eligible institutions:
